The goals of the council are to provide communications between car clubs, monitor legislation that could effect the car hobby and provide members of the council with information so that they can have a positive influence on auto-related legislation. The website has a monthly newsletter, the best calendar of car hobbyist events in Virginia and many photos of area car shows and cruise-ins. He has owned several muscle cars including a Dart GT, Road Runner, 340 Duster, Mustang Mach 1, Comet GT, Mustang GT and others. He is also a motorcyclist who has owned the same Harley Davidson since 1979. Fred is a CIW certified Master Site Designer. He is a retired mathematics, chemistry and computer technology teacher, former technology lead teacher and a former technology point of contact for a local school system. After retirement from teaching he ran a computer services company for 20 years. He is married to Marti. They have 2 sons and 3 grandkids. Fred is finally retired but still actively leads the car club council. He updates the calendar often, is the co-chair of the annual Breakthrough Car Show and has put together the popular Polar Bear Run (mystery run to somewhere good) each January for over 20 years.
